Fashion is cyclical but some things are forever. For us, the Golden Mullet will always be rooted in that special notion.

Taking you back to a time when burly Eastern European winemakers with furious haircuts were concocting some of the most inspiring ‘amber wines’ anyone had seen. In the wake of those Georgian heroes and heroines, the first shoots of our own Golden Mullet Fury began to show. From one of the oldest wine-producing countries in the world to our own experimental corner of the winery.

Like every enduring movement, the wine has grown up, and us with it. Wild as ever, the cryptic allure of skin-contact winemaking becomes a little more coherent every time.

Tasting notes: Golden Mullet Fury, the co-fermented, skin contact white wine has become a hallmark of AB&D wines. This vintage gives a more palatable approach to skin contact white wine from previous vintages, without surrendering its character or funk. It’s a blonde bombshell of capsicum, guava and butterscotch on the nose with waxy, textured, almond, spicy and rich flavours throughout your mouth. - 2016
