2015 Eldrige Estate Wendy Chardonnay

Honours the memory of David Lloyd's wife Wendy ('54-2014), made from Dijon clones 95 and 96, whole bunch-pressed and fermented in quality French oak. While elegance and attention to detail are its watchwords, it has greater intensity and length than its sibling, but still has the feeling of a miniature painting.
When David and Wendy Lloyd purchased the picturesque Eldridge Estate on Red Hill in Mornington Peninsula in 1995, their mission was, "to produce hand crafted wines of distinction that are true to the grape variety and the flavours from our unique site."
It's fair to say that more than 20 years on, that dream has been fully realised. David runs the property with zero carbon footprint, continuously searching to optimise efficiency and the quality of his wines.
A deep dive into the right clonal material for the Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Gamay on his small block has seen the wines of David Lloyd become respected as among the finest of Mornington Peninsula.
