Totally opaque black dark red colour showing impressive depth with a vibrant deep dark red purple tinged hue. Refined yet showing tremendous aromatic intensity scents of ripe red currants and mulberries subtlety tinged with a hint of violets sail from the glass over cedary tobacco characters, faint earth and spice. The graceful medium bodied palate showcases Quintet’s hallmark attributes of elegance and finesse bolstered by an additional level of richness and power attributable to the outstanding 2015 vintage conditions. Orchestrating their way across the palate are mouthfilling flavours of black and red currant as well as mulberries underscored by complexing elements of spicy cedar, light tobacco and faint earthy dried herb infusions. Very polished, perfectly integrated tannins are in perfect harmony with the fruit. Outstanding length with an exceptionally persistent, long and savoury conclusion of red and blackcurrant, mulberry, cedary tobacco characters, earthy dried herbs and spice. ust because the Mount Mary wines are famed for their purity, elegance and balance doesn't mean that they eschew power and layered complexity.
