2015 Tenuta di Fessina Il Musmeci Etna Rosso

From Sicily’s Tenuta di Fessina comes this lovely 100% Nerello Mascalese that is designated Etna Rosso D.O.C. Riserva. It’s an energetic, purely-fruited wee wine with plentiful dark and blue berry fruits, spice, some amaro herb action and lighter wafts of freshly cut fennel, tobacco and balsamic notes. Rich and expansive with bright acidity and fine, earthy volcanic tannins, it flows over the palate smoothly with a lovely plume of fruit.
