2016 Bel Colle Pajore Barbaresco DOCG

Lashings of sweet red berries, heaps of floral perfume, aniseed and spice, new leather and sage. Medium-bodied, juicy in the red fruit department, not quite jubey, though certainly bursting with the joy of youth and excitement of vintage 2016. It has a translucent quality, a shimmer of perfume, with ultra-fine pumice stone tannin, and a vibrant finish of excellent length, where fine persistent tannin tussles with fragrant black tea and bright red fruits.
