2016 Podere Ruggeri Corsini Bricco San Pietro Barolo DOCG

Spicy, roses & dark fruit. Tiny land plot - nevertheless, a Barolo that sings.
San Pietro is a 0.8 hectare south-east facing vineyard on clay/loam soil with an average vine age of 25 years old in the Southern Barolo DOCG cru of Monforte d'Alba. The fruit was hand -picked, completely de-stemmed and lightly crushed. Oak maturation in seasoned Slovenian casks for 30 months.
Loredana Addari and Nicola Argamante decided they'd enough of their jobs in the city, so they packed it all in, studied winemaking and bought a tiny vineyard in Monforte d'Alba. They upgraded the traditional estate into an eco-friendly haven by adopting lighter bottles, handpicking, solar panels and natural waste water purification, and by massively reducing the use of chemical treatments and sulphur.
