2016 St Michael-Eppan Merol Chardonnay DOC

Fairly cool, tart, restrained nose, elegant vegetal and herbaceous notes, light yellow fruit, mineral notes. Ripe, fairly juicy, sweetish and creamy fruit on the palate, elegant acid bite, light herbaceous notes and floral traces, good substance and persistence, noticeable warm alcohol, nutty traces and a hint of juniper, straightforward style, mineral traces, more noticeable alcohol on a good, fairly polished finish. - 2017

Founded in June 1907, a time of economic depression, the cooperative dedicated itself from its very beginnings to promoting the cultivation of top-quality wines and ensuring adequate revenue for its members. It is due to the farsightedness of the authors of the early oenological guidelines that the production facilities have, in essence, preserved their original functionality.
