2017 Rockford Vine Vale Riesling

This wine is from The Marschall vineyard in Vine Vale (vext to Tanunda, Barossa Valley, S.A.).  It is a special pocket of old Riesling vines, grown in sandy soil and receiving the cooling gully breezes that flow down from the Valley's Eastern ridge.

This is Vine Vale Riesling at its best.  The wine is aged in large oak barrels to add texture, softness, and colour to the wine as well as another layer of complexity.  Rich and nutty, with lemongrass, lemon barley, and honey.  Great structure and length with ripe flavour.
