2018 Clos Clare The Cemetery Block Shiraz

Just across the road from the Watervale cemetery, with headstones listing a district who’s who, is a block of 20 year old shiraz. These vines are really hitting their straps to produce elegant perfumed fruit from the valley’s cool micro climate.

The nose reveals flint, dark and forest compote characters.

On the palate boysenberry, black berries, spice, with hints of smoke and roasted nuts. Silky and ample tannins with a moreish feel to finish.
