2018 Domaine du Chardonnay Montmains 1er Cru

From 25 & 55 year-old vines in each of the 3 lieu-dits of Montmains: Montmains proper, Les Fôrets and Butteaux, 3.85 ha in total. Vinified in stainless steel tanks and bottled under stelvin.

’A little sweeter, a little more mineral, less agrume fruit. Fresh, like the nose, mineral, even more saline than Vosgros, less about fruit. Great again – showing a lot of quality this year here!’ Bill Nanson, Burgundy Report, February 2020.
