2019 Giacomo Boveri Piccolo Derthona Timorasso

100% Timorasso and it's best to analogise this as the Petit Chablis of Timorasso. 

Entry level Timorasso from this outstanding producer. Saline, a bit juicy, but also fine and chalky in texture, with some lemon zest and green apple, a little white flower and subtle smoked spices. It’s a great drink, offering tang and energy, and a lovely point of difference.

A very strong release for Boveri – pristine purity and detail with subtle salinity & citrus characters and just the slightest of honeysuckle on the finish.   Outstanding QPR - piccolo in pay grade but not in performance.

Fresh, crunchy and delicious to drink young - but guaranteed to age if you wish, helped by its screwcap closure. Grown on white Tortonian marl and raised in stainless steel.
