Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir
My Smart Cellar is based on the Mornington Peninsula and perhaps we are slightly biased, but it does produce some of the best Pinot Noirs in Australia. Crittenden allows you to try wines at all price points, and if you have not had Main Ridge Esate Pinot Noir you are seriously missing out.
A lively palate of fresh fruit and supple tannins. Enjoy with your favorite duck or lamb dishes. Great vintage.
This wine walks the middle ground between being fruit driven and more complex and structured, it is rich with soft tannins and a good acid finish.
The wine is fragrant, soft, has hints of fruits and spice, and boasts well-balanced acidity. This Pinot Noir will continue to age in the bottle for another 6-8 years.
The second vintage of pinot noir from the Iconic winemaker Gary Crittenden, since he has stepped aside and let his 'Young Gun' son, Rollo, take over the reigns.
The sixth vintage of our much loved Kangerong Pinot Noir, which celebrates place, this wine's purity of fruit and backbone is a must drink for lovers of this fickle grape variety.
Top 100 Best Australian Wines - Matthew Jukes.
A blend of blackcurrants, dark cherries, and pepper on the nose. The palate is rich, and luscious, a perfume of dark red cherries & blackcurrants with elegant fine tannins and a touch of pepper.
It has a soft entry with mid palate fruit sweetness and lovely texture. The finish is long with balanced acid and fine tannins. It should age very well.
2015 was a 10 out of 10 vintage on the Mornington Peninsula.
Another great vintage from one of The Mornington Peninsula's best winemakers.
"In terms of Pinot Noir, it's the Big Show. This one goes to eleven. All that. The 'Land of Fire' is a great name for such a wine." 95 points, Gary Walsh
